The American Museum of Natural History is a nonprofit, educational corporation, chartered in 1869 as a museum and library by a special act of the Legislature of the State of New York. It was chartered for the purpose of "establishing and maintaining a Museum and Library of Natural History; of encouraging and developing the study of Natural Science; of advancing the general knowledge of kindred subjects and, to that end, of furnishing popular instruction".

Central Park
The Park stretches from Central Park South (59th St.) to 110th St. at the northern end and from 5th Ave. on the East Side to Central Park West (8th Ave.) on the West Side. The park covers 843 acres, which is 6% of Manhattan. Its hours of operation are from 6:00 am until 1:00 am. Central Park was the first landscaped public park in the United States and has a number of attractions within, including sporting areas, a renowned carousel, an exciting zoo, restaurants, concert areas and more.
Metropolitan Opera
Located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, between West 62nd and 65th Streets and Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues, the Met has always engaged many of the world’s most important artists. Many great conductors have helped shape the Metropolitan, from Wagner’s disciple Anton Seidl in the 1880s and 1890s to Arturo Toscanini who made his debut in 1908. Each season the Metropolitan stages more than two hundred opera performances in New York.
